Stray Paws Rescue Meet & Greet at Oakville
We are excited that Stray Paws Rescue will be at our Oakville shop on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 12 - 3 pm, with some terrific pets looking for their "furever" homes.
Meet handsome, "Buster" Rhodes, a 2 year old plott hound mix. Poor Rhodes is heartworm positive and going thru treatments, but will be done soon. He is doing awesome! He is potty trained. Does well on a leash. Likes other dogs and people. Unsure of cats. He doesn't care for a crate and can get out of just about any of them except the gorilla cage but never tears anything up when left out. Hence the name "Buster" Rhodes. He is a lover and has to have his toy with him all the time. This sweet boy will be ready for his forever home soon.
Stray Paws Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit, foster-based rescue. They believe it is their moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned and homeless pets and to place them in loving permanent homes. They pull animals from high kill shelters on their final minutes and off the St. Louis city streets. Stray Paws feeds north city strays. They also set humane traps for the lost and dumped pets.
They provide spay and neuter services and any necessary medical care for pets. Stray Paws Rescue works diligently to educate the public on the importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals.
