We LOVE Rescues! February Spotlight Groups

We are sharing the Spotlight love this month with three foster based rescues benefiting from your donations! Each of our Spotlight Groups help represent the three areas that Treats Unleashed calls home in St. Louis, Columbia, MO and Leawood, KS.

Love-A-Golden

Love a Golden Rescue finds permanent homes for Golden Retrievers who have been surrendered by their owners, removed from shelters, unclaimed as strays or older Golden Retrievers who are out of options. Being based in the St. Louis area, their primary focus is in Missouri, but they expand their reach to pets in the Midwest, especially to help senior Golden Retrievers. They are an all volunteer foster group who are committed to rescuing Golden Retrievers and providing knowledge about responsible dog ownership. Boone County Animal Care

BCAC is a foster based group providing care to cats and kittens of all ages and conditions until they are able to be placed in their forever homes. Another part of their mission is focused on trapping, spay or neuter, and releasing cats to improve their overall health, reduce shelter intake and eventually decrease the overpopulation of feral and un-cared for cats. If you are seeking to foster a cat or kitten, or are ready to provide a forever home for a lucky cat in the Columbia area, consider Boone County Animal Care. – www.boonecountyanimalcare.com

Midwest Animal ResQ

Based in Raytown, MO, Midwest Animal ResQ (MARQ) “was founded in 2009 as a small foster-based rescue group focused on rescuing dogs from inhumane conditions at local large scale breeding facilities.  With the help of dedicated supporters and volunteers, MARQ has grown into a multifaceted group in a short period of time.  While we are still very passionate about retired breeding dogs, our scope has increased along with our capacity to serve the animals of the greater Kansas City area.” Their continued efforts and partnership with the city have made Raytown a No-Kill city!
