Leawood Fall Festival


We have a fabulous Fall Festival planned for all of our furry friends and their families in October! Each Saturday, there is a very special, pet-friendly event scheduled.  Make plans now to attend one or all of them! All proceeds from the events benefit Going to the Dogs, our Spotlight Organization for October. They are a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide protective vests for law enforcement K9s in Missouri and Kansas.

Saturday, Oct. 8, 10 – 11:30 a.m.1st Annual Apple Pie Eating Contest for Pooches! – How fast can your dog eat a slice of homemade apple pie? No forks or spoons allowed, but paws are! Registration is $5 per pet. Complete details here.

Saturday, Oct. 15, 10:30 – 11;30 a.m. – Celebrity Spaws Dog Wash! Gary Lezak, chief meteorologist at NBC Action News, and volunteers from Going to the Dogs will be here for a “Celebrity Spaw” dog wash. You bring the dog, we’ll do the rest! Only $20 per pet.

Saturday, Oct. 22, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.Pet Caricatures & Smooch the Pooch kissing booth!  – Have a caricature of your pet  done by The Fine Tooners. And get some great photos of you and your pet at the “Smooch the Pooch” kissing booth. The KC Elite Dog Training group will also be here, sharing real world dog training tips with you. Caricatures  are $10 for your pet and $15 for you and your pet; all proceeds benefit Going to the Dogs.

Saturday, Oct. 29, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Annual Howl-o-ween Party! LoTs of hOwLiNg,yOwLiNg FUN plaNned! We’ll have ghoulishly yummy treats for all the four-legged trick-or-treaters! A $5 suggested donation per pet will benefit Going to the Dogs.
