Treats Unleashed has selected Stray Rescue of St. Louis as its Spotlight Organization for June. Stray Rescue’s sole purpose is to rescue stray animals in need of medical attention, restore them to health, and place them in loving adoptive homes. They have two fantastic programs that we love – and they offer interesting and easy ways for you to get involved in this organization that does so much for pets in need. stray rescue urban wanderers _HP_Graphic_0

Urban Wanderers 2014 – The Urban Wanderers Art Exhibit will be held at the Saint Louis University Museum of Art; this is the fifth year for this unique art fundraiser. An opening reception will be held Friday, June 6, from 5-8 pm. Donations will be be gratefully accepted for the event. All proceeds will benefit Stray rescue. Don’t miss this art display created by rescued pets as well as local, regional and national artists. The exhibition runs through Sunday, July 27. All the art pieces, based on a “What Is Stray Rescue?” theme, are available for purchase through an online auction (June 6 – July 27). Dogs and cats join in the fun too, creating paintings with their paws, tails, and noses. All artwork will be available via an online auction. All online bidding proceeds directly benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis. This year’s Urban Wanderers’ “spokes-dog” is Cosette (pictured at right), who was in bad shape when she was brought in to Stray Rescue’s Veterinary and Trauma Center.
