Most importantly, Treats Unleashed caters to every pet’s individual needs when it comes to health, diet and nutrition.  With a food scientist on staff and in-house bakery, Treats Unleashed serves as every pet’s nutritionist, offering expert advice and customized food and fresh-baked treats to meet your pet’s unique dietary requirements.

Our Story

In 2001, Ian and Teresa moved back to St. Louis after living in New York City, where they had grown accustomed to serving high-quality, all-natural pet food to their two dachshunds, Max and Mickey.  It wasn’t long before they found a lack of options for nutritious pet food and treats and no alternatives to the “big box” stores for pet supplies.  This realization sparked the initial concept and vision for Treats Unleashed, a specialty business that would provide all-natural solutions, high-quality supplies and one-of-a-kind accessories for pets and their parents.

In 2002, Ian and Teresa along with Teresa’s sister, Gayle, opened a small kiosk in one of the area’s shopping malls to test the concept of all-natural, fresh-baked treats and high-quality supplies.  Delighted with a tremendously positive reception from customers, they quickly opened a second kiosk in another mall, and started looking for the right retail location to launch their store…and the rest is history!

Today, Treats Unleashed is a thriving company with 40 employees, 6 retail locations and an active wholesale treat business.  Treats Unleashed wholeheartedly attributes its steady success to the personal relationships it builds within each community of pet lovers and rescue groups.

With a dedicated, caring and knowledgeable staff, Treats Unleashed continues to differentiate itself as a comfortable, memorable and fun place for pets and their parents to congregate and connect with one another.  Offering a ‘community within a community’ experience, the team at Treats Unleashed calls customers and their pets by name, makes thoughtful suggestions of new items to try and always strives to make the experience special.

In addition to hosting in-store meet & greets with a variety of rescue groups, each month we spotlight an organization that is making a positive impact both in our community and in the lives of area animals. Between our in-store events and Treat-of-the-Month treats, we donated over $15,500 to area non-profit organizations in 2010!
